The Letter From Our Freign Teacher(Coco)

I think Coco is a good friend and teacher,so I hope that we should respect him.We also should study hard.Do not be late any more.

Hello Shirley,

Many thanks for your heartfelt letter and i really enjoyed reading it. I wish most of the other students took the time and effort to improve their English as you do.

I understand most of them make little or no effort and most don't even want to be at college. However, i don't want them missing out on this one opportunity to have a better chance in the future by being lazy, unmotivated and carrying on with their bad habits.

I don't like shouting at students and i certainly don't like being in a bad mood, as i'm a happy and positive person. However, i feel my actions were justified and perhaps it was the kick up the backside most of them have needed!

I appreciate that the views that you express in your letter are from you and that they are not the views of the class as a whole. In my college i have at most 5 boys in every class and 50 girls. The boys mostly make little effort and the girls all improve and i'm sure it will be the same in your class. Karen gave a wonderful talk introducing her friend Cathy, yet most of the boys didn't even listen! If they had listened they would have learnt what a good introduction sounds like.

Anyway, I will give your class another chance, but if one students shows me no respect then i will leave the class.

I think your major is a good major as it offers many prospects for your future. Every company needs computers and people that can use them. Also, having an understanding in English is another great thing that you have to offer, so i hope you will get your interest back in improving your English. You are one of the best students in the class and if you and your friends make an effort to improve, i honestly think you can have a bright future.


I will introduce some topics that you can use to talk with each other in your spare time. I will also offer you all the opportunity to write a short paragraph in your spare time and i will read it, correct the mistakes and discuss it with you all. I have also said before that your class can attend my English Corner and have the opportunity to speak with me or just listen to other students speaking with me and gaining more confidence from this. If you have a class cancelled by another teacher, then you are also welcome to come and sit in one of my classes and get an idea of what my teaching is like with English majors. You see Shirley, i'm such a nice caring, hard-working and kind teacher! haha.
